Bristol Rovers 4 Wrexham 2 (Isle Of Man Tournament)

Wrexham's hopes of yet again making the final of the Isle Of Man Tournament were dashed by Bristol Rovers yesterday. Chirs Armstrong scored twice for Wrexham, once from the penalty spot, but the club whose manager recently claimed that they are now the biggest in Division Three (Sorry, Coca-Cola Football League Two, or something like that), put four past a Wrexham side that rested a number of players in anticipation of tonight's game against Liverpool. Speaking of that much-hyped match, it now seems that Michael Owen might be playing, having been specially asked to, given his Flintshire connections and the fact that he was once on the books at the Racecourse. Good to see that he's coped well with rejection, eh?
