Blades, Bournemoth & Boredom
Wrexham will host Sheffield United at the Racecourse in the next round of the Carling Cup, following the draw on Wednesday night. Before worrying about that, though, the players will head south to take on Bournemouth at Dean Court tomorrow. Denis Smith will be hoping for a better result than the last time Wrexham played there, losing 6-1. Alex Smith certainly won't play, while Dennis Lawrence and Steve Roberts both have ankle injuries which may mean they are also unavailable. Jim Whitley and Craig Morgan are also unlikely to recover from their injuries in time.
In other news, John Reames has revealed that he has been considering his position as Managing Director of the club, but has decided not to resign after being persuaded to stay on by other board members, and "surprisingly" large number of fans. Some would add a joke here about the fact that any fans persuading Reames to stay on would be surprising, but I'm above all that, you know.
This site will soon be looking very different, with a redesign that I've been planning for weeks nearing frution. However, my access to the internet, and hence my ablity to update this page, will be uncertain between September and Christmas. Updates will depend on me borrowing other people's computers for this period, so I thought I'd better put up some permanent content to entertain you in the large gaps. This will happen within the next two weeks.
