Bournemouth 1 Wrexham 0 (League One)

Wrexham lost out at the Fitness First Stadium (Dean Court) to an Alan Connell strike in the 28th minute. Wrexham had an appeal for a goal turned down when Brian Carey's effort appeared to have crossed the line, but not in the linesman's view.
My attention has been distracted from this result by the news that Ian Rush has been appointed the new manager of Chester City, after Mark Wright's mysterious exit on the eve of the season. The general consensus seems to be that this is a strange appointment, as Rush (a local, and a former Wrexham player/coach) has no real track record in management (as opposed to coaching).
Other news is that Wrexham have been drawn against Notts County in the LDV Vans Trophy Northern Section. The match will be played at Meadow Lane the week after Sheffield United visit the Racecourse.
Please Note: I will be unable to update this site following the Barnsley game, as I am travelling to attend a funeral.
