Holidays in "The Sun", and on Teletext
This sason I'll be even further away from the Racecourse than usual when Wrexham kick off their campaign in League One, as for the first year I can remember, my holiday will clash with the opening fixtures of the season. While I've missed whole pre-season fortnights before, I've never been reduced to hunting small newsagents in small towns any British paper (even The Sun, or the Daily Mail, for chrissakes) to check the results.
And as if that wasn't enough, Sky Sports are predicting that we'll finish...22nd! The Times, however, also part of the Murdoch empire, believes that a mid-table placing is attainable, and Teletext predicts that Wrexham can finish in 9th place. Myself, well, I'd like to see us free from any relegation (and, hopefully, short-term financial) worries by February, and take it from there.
My holiday means that there will be no more updates to this page until late August, but the news feed will be constantly updated, and when I return I will give my view of everything that's happened by then, and maybe revise my prediction for the season.
