Model Professionals and Professional Dragons

Seeing as the game against Blackpool has been postponed due to international call-ups, and I've only just got back home, the Barnsley result is the main focus of my attention this week. Denis Smith called it Wrexham's "worst performance of the season", but three points are three points, thanks to goals from Chris Armstrong and Steve Roberts, making Daniel Nardiello's strike merely a consolation. It's also good to see the boss praising Andy Dibble and Brian Carey, two players who would probably come up on a google search for 'model professional'.

Meanwhile, the Daily Post has been dealing with the real issue on Wrexham fans' minds - mascots. Gil Andrews yearns for the "halcyon days" of Rockin' Robin, who I remember riding around the pitch on a bike - while a match was taking place, and claims that 'Wrex' the Dragon is "a metaphor for all that is wrong" with Wrexham and its Commercial Department. Whoever said local papers don't tackle the big issues, eh?

Finally, the redesign I promised last week should take place within the next seven days.
