Wrexham in the News(paper)
Going through some old newspapers from the summer, I found the following, on an article entitled 'Things you'll never hear on holiday' (The Independent, Wednesday 25 August 2004)
Should you get them to a beautiful medieval church, one will write in the prayer book "Dear God, please let Man U win the triple", while the other will write underneath: "PS. Or Wrexham. Amen." When they are chastised on the grounds the book is for people dying of leukaemia and hoping for a miracle, the Wrexham fan will say: "So am I."
As you will have noticed, things look a bit different around here now. The new design is on trial at the moment, but I quite like it so it is likely to become permanent, with perhaps the odd tweak. Things may not work as well as they used to for a while, as it might take me some time to iron out the kinks.
'What a lovely view. Could we please visit a beautiful medieval church now?'
