Wrexham 2 Hull City 2 (League One)

What a strange day. It started for me at about 11:30am, when I saw something on Sky Sports News about how the Hull game might be the last Wrexham ever play. Then I went to the paper shop, hoping that there'll be some national newspaper campaign to save our bacon. No such luck, but I did manage to get support from a QPR fan trying to flog The Independent. "Things can only get better", he advised, like that guy out of D:Ream, but then I told him about the 10-point rule, something which never applied to QPR, and the conversation turned to Ian Holloway and his "canny" attitude.

And then there was the game itself. Normally I'd be livid at giving away a two-goal headstart, but I was just pleased we'd got anything at all under the circumstances. It was only at around this point that I got news about Hamilton quitting, something which I'm still not sure what to make of. Is he finally going away? Or has he merely abandoned all pretence of being interested in the football club, and decided to try and get his hands on as much money as he can from it? What I was really shocked by was the quality of his handwriting (see below).

Finally, there was the FA Cup draw. Hayes away is not as bad as it could have been, but it could have been much better. At least we've got the LDV Vans Trophy game against Stockport to look forward to...I hope.
