Hayes 0 Wrexham 4 (FA Cup)

Finally, something positive to write about. Andy Holt got the first on 17 minutes, and Dennis Lawrence, Hector Sam and Chris Llewellyn completed the rout. To add to the general feeling of positivity, Adrian Chiles' column in yesterday's Independent picked up Wrexham's cause. The response from all football fans to Wrexham's situation has to be one of action - although they don't like admitting it,, the Premiership big-boys wouldn't be doing nearly as well if there wasn't such a wealth of grass-roots support for the game.
But the news that Wrexham's board may decide to take the club into administration to avoid being wound up is not good. On the one hand, this may be the lesser of two evils (in the long-term, it may be a choice between playing in League Two next year or never playing again). On the other, it means relegation would almost be a certainty, as administrators wouldn't be turning down bids for the likes of Carlos Edwards, Steve Roberts and Hectors Sam. And the ten-point penalty wouldn't help much. But then again, maybe we are good enough to stay up. But really, the only way is up....isn't it?
