Even The Legends Can't Get A Win
Having watched the BBC Wales Football Legends Tournament, I'm beginning to think that
nothing's going to lift morale - even our old boys can't get three points against a 'Wales' team
featuring Jan Molby and Ralf Little. And the first team is looking in even worse shape ahead of
the visit of arch rivals Tranmere. Darrne Ferguson looks like being out for a while (a month,
according to the BBC) , joining an injury list that already includes Andy Dibble, Danny Williams
and Brian Carey.
You may have noticed that I didn't put Carlos Edwards' name in that list, or Dean Bennett's.
both featured for the Reserves against Bury on Wednesday night, and Carlos even got his
name on the scoresheet. It is possible (Fingers crossed, touch wood, ring the pope, etc) that
he could even play some part in the Tranmere game.
The visitors, meanwhile, are expected to name an unchanged side following their home defeat
to Bristol City on the telly the other night.
In non-Wrexham related news, I've made an addition to the stuff page - an Ian Holoway
quotes section. I know I don't really have an excuse, but read the quotes before you taunt me.
Also, I'm working on a statistics page - you can see the work in progress here.
