Barnsley 2 Wrexham 2

Denis Smith feels that Wrexham would have won this, were it not for the pressure of being in
the relegation zone. As it happened, the home side earned a point, and indeed had taken a
first-half lead through Daniel Nardiello, on loan from Manchester United. Wrexham scored
twice in six minutes, through Darren Ferguson and Chris Llewellyn, to take the lead
themselves, only to see Michael Chopra level for Barnsley after a Robbie Williams (no, not that
one) shot came back off the bar.
Meanwhile, Wrexham have sold more than 14,000 tickets for the LDV Vans Trophy final.
Southend have sold a similar amount, and so - with tickets still on sale - there could be in
excess of 30,000 fans at the Millennium Stadium on Sunday.
