Withdrawal Symptoms
The last few weeks have made me realise what a big part football plays in my life: it's taken rugby, cricket AND tennis to fill the void, and even then I've been getting excited by the prospect of pre-season friendlies and fixture lists.
Denis Smith is also fired up and raring to go, targeting a 'flying start' according to BBC Sport. Pre-season training is, after all, only 10 or so days away. What squad we'll have at that point, though, is still far from clear.
