From BBC News: Wrexham face dilemma over Carey
Wrexham manager Denis Smith has to decide whether to offer injured club captain Brian Carey a new contract.
The Irish centre-back, 37, has been sidelined since last October with a knee injury, and in-administration Wrexham are limited to a 20-man squad.
"I'd like to offer a fit Brian a 12-month deal, but I can only wait so long before making a decision," Smith told the Daily Post.
"In a 20-man squad I don't want to start the season with injured players."
Smith is also concerned about the thigh injury to Jim Whitley that has kept the midfielder out since January.
Whitley is guaranteed a place in the 20-man squad as he has 12 months left on his Racecourse contract.
