Wrexham 0 Carlisle United 1

It's obvious now that getting promoted is going to need a lot more luck than we've had for the last 18 months or so - a sending-off and a saved penalty meant that Carlisle took all three points home with them.
Brendan McGill scored the game's only goal, directly from the free-kick that followed Simon Spender's dismissal. It looked as if Wrexham would snatch a draw at the death, but Jon Walters' penalty was well saved by Anthony Williams in the Carlisle goal.
