Birthday
Apologies for the long delay in posts, I'm "celebrating" my birthday today, and the process of
picking over a dead season didn't really appeal this week as much as a couple of days watching
Lancashire (more specifically, Andy Flintoff) at Old Trafford.
But the exodus of players from the (partially) sunken ship of Wrexham FC has forced me into
action. Stephen Roberts, as predicted, has signed for Doncaster Rovers. Carlos Edwards,
unfortunately, will also be leaving, headed for Championship football with Luton (well, I can't
think why else he'd want to go there - the scenery?).
In more positive news, Kevin Russell is getting a testimonial match. His loyal services as player
and coach are to be rewarded with the visit of a Manchester United XI on August 2, along with
other benefits of different types.
As you will have noticed, Wrexham's season is over now. This means there will be a lot less to
write about, althogh I'll still be keeping the site updated over the summer with news of
transfers, legal action and the club's short-term future. Also, things may start looking a little
different by the time August rolls around again.
